ETUC Strategic Litigation Guide
The ETUC is proud to present its Strategic Litigation Guide for Trade Unions & Workers' Rights.
The aim of this Guide is to compile and build on existing knowledge on how strategic litigation can be successfully used, bringing together insights from trade unions legal experts and practitioners in the field of social and workers' rights. It offers accessible strategic, procedural and practical information to help trade union legal activists to amplify the impacts of their litigation cases, in particular at supranational level.
Litigation, and strategic litigation in particular, is already recognised by trade unions as an important, and sometimes the only, means of defending and advancing the rights and interests of trade unions and workers.
The Guide offers an overview of available European and international judicial and quasi-judicial avenues available in the context of the European Union, Council of Europe and United Nations, including the International Labour Organisation
