A guide analysing and summarising the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on EU law has been published

The guide, currently only in French, aims to explain how the ECtHR deals with such applications (Chapter 1), it examines the ECtHR’s response to questions raised before it (Chapter 2) and sets out, more broadly, the matters and cases in which the ECtHR has referred to EU law in its reasoning (Chapter 3).

The guide should be read in conjunction with the case law guides dedicated to each specific article of the Convention.
