The report spotlights cases of automated robo-firings at JustEat in which workers were falsely accused of receiving ‘undeserved financial gain’ relating to nominal waiting time payments at restaurants.

The dismissals were challenged under the Data Protection Act 2018 (which is the UK's implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR) requiring JustEat to provide information relating to the data processing. No wrongdoing emerged from the information provided by JustEat.
