Five new III Party interventions have been submitted by the ETUC

So far, in 2023, the ETUC has submitted five III party interventions in support of its affiliates as well as other trade unions and workers.

The focus of the ETUC's interventions thus far has been mostly on the right to strike, a right that has been under attack and which governments have been interpreting in an increasingly restrictive manner.

3 cases in which the ETUC intervened where lodged with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR):

• Radesca v Switzerland (right to strike)

• DJ v Slovenia (Right to respect of private and family life)

• Bodson v Belgium (right to strike)

And two were lodged with the European Committee on Social Rights (ECSR):

• USB v. Italy (right to strike)

• Confederación Sindical de Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) v. Spain (The right to protection in cases of termination of employment)
